Oravaisten liikenne OY / Oravais Trafik – since 1950
The year was 1931, Werner Granholm moved from Larsmo to Bromarv. There he became a chauffeur at a bus service to Helsinki. Some years later he became a partner of the bus service, which had the name Nordling & Granholm. In Oravais 1936 the Nygren brothers bought their first bus. The buses in Ab Nygren & Co increased and they engaged in bus services to Vaasa. 1950 the name changed to the name that still stands, Oravaisten liikenne / Oravais Trafik. A year later Werner Granholm moved from Bromarv to buy the company.
After some years the operations moved to the neighbouring municipality Vörå. The bus garage was built there in 1963. Vörå is still the company’s origin. The office has been located in central Vaasa since the 1960s, where also the largest part of the bus fleet is located today.
Oravaisten liikenne OY / Oravais Trafik was granted travel agency rights 1970. The travel production is since 1990 presented yearly in a travelcatalogue. For groups and companies travels are tailor-made accordingly.

We have often been pioneers in the travel industr. Our first bus rolled into the Soviet Union in 1962. We have been traveling to Southern and Central Europe, Great Britain and the Balkans for over 30 years.
Travelers are becoming more experienced, time is increasingly precious and the possibilities are expanding. Today, most trips to the Continent begins with a flight from the traveler’s home region, with our bus meeting the group upon arrival at the destination. Our concept is well-established. We also organize trips to other continents and sun-seeking charter holidays. Health-focused trips, weekend getaways, and tours across the Nordic and Baltic regions are part of our everyday operations.
